About Power a Life

Power a Life is a corporate merchandise company that turns branded gifts into solar lights, clean water, and school kits for children in rural Africa.

You get retail-quality gifts your team will keep. Children get light to study by, water they can trust, and the tools to stay in school. We handle the design, the logistics, and the proof.

What we do

What Power a Life does

We make corporate gifting simple and useful. Every order funds a clear act of help on the ground—not a vague donation, but a light, a well contribution, or a school kit delivered by people we trust.

Custom branded merchandise

Powerbanks, drinkware, stationery, bags, and desktop pieces finished to a retail standard and marked with your brand. Your logo sits on products people actually want to use.

The outcome is merch that lasts—and a gift that funds solar light, clean water, or classroom supplies for a child who needs them.

Bespoke kits and packaging

We design presentation boxes, inserts, and greeting cards that tell your story. Welcome packs, event kits, and client gifts leave the warehouse ready to open.

You get a polished unboxing moment. Recipients feel looked after. Your ESG story travels with the gift.

Global fulfilment and warehousing

We produce, store, kit, and ship. Orders go door to door under Delivered Duty Paid terms, so customs and local taxes are settled before the parcel arrives.

Your office stays clear of stockrooms. New joiners, remote staff, and event venues get the right pack at the right time.

Measured impact delivery

Through Family Impact in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, solar lights and education kits reach schools in person. Teachers track results over following terms.

Larger orders earn shareable impact reports and film, so your team can see the children and classrooms your budget reached.

Why us

What makes Power a Life different

We lead with impact and product quality. That has been the point since the first trip to Senegal, and it still guides every quote we send.

Boots on the ground, not a distant donation

Many firms promise “giving back” through a remote charity transfer. We work with registered partners who visit schools, hand over lights face to face, and return to check progress.

Your order funds a delivery you can name—and, on larger projects, see on film.

Impact built into our margins

Social responsibility should not mean an inflated mark-up. Impact funding sits inside our operating margins, so quotes sit with ordinary premium merchandise budgets.

You buy the gifts you already planned to buy. The solar light or school kit comes with them.

Retail quality that people keep

Cheap promotional plastic often ends in a drawer or a bin. We specify long-life materials and finishes so recipients use the product for years.

Less waste for your brand. More hours of study light for a child after dark.

Proof you can measure

In our Zimbabwe pilots, every child tested improved across subjects within three months of receiving a solar light. Home reporting also notes maths gains around 37% where lighting replaced kerosene.

That is the standard we aim for: numbers tied to classrooms, not vague claims.

Design in a day, delivery without the headache

Free high-resolution digital mock-ups arrive within 24 hours. Standard corporate lines start from 30 units. Custom kits and international set-ups typically ship in four to eight weeks.

DDP shipping means no surprise customs bills for your staff in Berlin, Boston, or beyond.

People

The team behind Power a Life

We are a small UK team with partners on the ground in Zimbabwe. The company grew from field research into a working B2B business—built so everyday corporate orders fund lasting help.

Founder & CEO

Jeremie

Jeremie founded Power a Life after living with off-grid families in northern Senegal in 2013. He saw children lose study hours every night for want of light—and built a business to fix that through branded gifts companies already buy.

Today he leads product, client work, and the impact model from the UK, still travelling on gifting missions when lights go into classrooms.

LinkedIn

Strategic Advisor

Paul

Paul advises on client strategy, partner accounts, and the day-to-day flow of quotes. He is often the first person teams hear from on WhatsApp or email when a campaign needs a clear next step.

His focus is simple: keep projects moving, keep promises tight, and keep the impact story honest.

CFO

Derek

Derek oversees the financial backbone of Sustainable Development Enterprises Ltd, the company behind Power a Life. He keeps pricing, cash flow, and growth grounded so the social model stays solvent.

Sound books mean we can keep funding lights and wells without depending on one-off charity drives.

Head of Sourcing

Grace

Grace runs factory relationships, lead times, samples, and freight. She turns approved artwork into stock that meets the finish and schedule your campaign needs.

When a quote promises four to eight weeks, her queue is where that promise is made real.

Advisor

Trystan

Trystan advises on business development and growth. He helps open doors with brands and partners who want merch with a measurable human return.

His brief is growth with integrity: introductions that fit the model, not volume for its own sake.

Company story

Origin, in brief

In 2013 Jeremie and collaborators lived off-grid in Senegal. The lack of evening light for homework became the seed of Power a Life. The limited company was incorporated in 2017.

The model remains buy-to-give: sell fine branded goods, fund solar lights, water, and education kits through partners such as Family Impact in Bulawayo.
